The Cannonball A5-BR The Brute® Big Bell® Stone Series® is a premium professional alto saxophone designed for players who want a broad, powerful and responsive sound combined with a distinctive vintage-inspired appearance. The A5-BR features Cannonball’s The Brute® aged brass finish, giving the instrument a raw, characterful look while retaining the full premium specification of the A5 Big Bell® Stone Series® platform. Premium Big Bell® Stone Series® The A5 is Cannonball’s premium professional alto saxophone platform. It features 17 semi-precious stones, two hand-customized necks and an upgraded professional case. The one-piece hand-hammered Big Bell® is designed to deliver a broad, resonant sound with excellent projection and a wide dynamic range. Two hand-customized necks Each A5-BR is supplied with two individually hand-customized necks: a matching Original neck and a silver-plated FAT Neck®. Cannonball acoustically adjusts each neck specifically to the individual saxophone to optimize projection, tonal richness and intonation. The FAT Neck® provides an alternative response and tonal character, with a freer-blowing feel and additional emphasis on the middle and lower frequencies.
