The Cannonball A5-M Big Bell® Stone Series® is a premium professional alto saxophone featuring Cannonball’s MidKnight™ Matte Black finish. Its deep matte-black appearance gives the instrument a modern, understated look while retaining the full professional specification of the A5 Big Bell® Stone Series® platform.

Premium Big Bell® Stone Series®

The A5 is Cannonball’s premium professional alto saxophone platform. Its one-piece hand-hammered Big Bell® is designed for a broad, warm sound with strong projection, excellent dynamic range and rich tonal depth.

MidKnight™ Matte Black finish

The A5-M features Cannonball’s MidKnight™ Matte Black finish, giving the instrument a distinctive dark appearance with a refined matte surface.

Two hand-customized necks

Each A5 is supplied with two individually hand-customized necks: an Original neck in a finish matching the saxophone body and a silver-plated FAT Neck®. Cannonball acoustically adjusts each neck specifically to the individual instrument for optimum projection, tonal richness and intonation.

The FAT Neck® has its octave tube positioned underneath the neck, creating a freer-blowing response with additional emphasis in the middle and lower frequencies.

Semi-precious stones

Semi-precious stones are fitted to the key touches, necks and bell key guard. Cannonball uses these patented stones as part of the acoustic design of the Stone Series®.

Professional construction

The A5 features a one-piece hand-hammered bell, ribbed construction, High F# key, power-forged keywork and professional adjustment features throughout. The bell, bow and necks are annealed during production to support resonance and response.

The saxophone is supplied with its matching Original hand-customized neck, silver-plated FAT Neck®, Cannonball hard-rubber mouthpiece and professional wood-shell case.
